The scorebook's front and back covers feature a magnificent photograph from the Marquess Gallery of a cluster of "The Balls of Summer," perfectly unscarred baseballs, randomly arranged, from the collection. The inside front cover features a work called "Caught!" with a beat up ball resting quietly inside an old Tony Kubek model glove. (Don Marquess' actual, lefthanded first baseman's glove). The scoresheet design was done by Tammy Gazaway.
